This page is for those who want the instruction to fold an origami cosmos flower.

The distinctive feature of the origami cosmos flower is it has eight petals. So you need to start from a regular octagon instead of a square paper. The technique of collapsing the center is similar to the one for Standard Origami Rose but it is more difficult to do since now we have eight petals instead of four.

If you are ready, then let's get started.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold this origami cosmos flower. Here I am using the same color paper for both the front and the back sides. But you could use one side color only paper without any problem. Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 10cm x 10cm square one.

There is an instruction to learn how to make a regular octagon out of a square paper.

You can easily get a regular octagon from the instruction.
