so dark petals blossoms and iris, painted black
a lid that covers nothing, for nothing it is, there is no back

lashes of a painter's brush pause -
hesitant, in fear of weeping tears that course
the crystal drowns in ink that floods
when dam bursts and gushes bloods

and it fails now, useless, its vision lost -
the desire to hide, to protect, to keep
so much that it refused sleep,
the strained light that would not give
those screams of silence that continue to live
